Paolo Fiorio

Born in Turin in 1972, he graduated from the University of Turin in 1996. In 2001, received a PhD in Commercial Law from the Bocconi University in Milan, with a thesis on shareholder associations. Following a period of study as a visiting scholar at the law-school of the University of California Berekeley, he continued his studies in commercial law and financial markets at the University of Turin where he collaborated with the chairs of commercial and banking law, as a research fellow. Since 1996 began collaborating with the firm and since 1999 is a member of the bar of Turin. Since 2014 is a member of the bar of the Court of Cassation. Directly follows and coordinates the activities of the firm in banking and financial matters, commercial and corporate law and renewable energy where he has been operating for many years in both out-of-court consulting as well as in assisting clients in litigation or arbitration. Has personally managed over 50 injunctions brought by the Consumer Movement to protect the collective interests of consumers and users, with particular reference to the banking and financial intermediation, insurance, telecommunications and television services, e-commerce, transport, unfair business practices, misleading advertising and unfair terms sectors. Is the author of numerous publications on corporate, banking and securities law. Has dedicated special attention to the study of collective investor protection and class actions. From 2005 to 2008, held the course in private law as a contract professor at the University of Eastern Piedmont and is frequently invited to give university seminars and training courses for lawyers, accountants and magistrates. Since 2003, is head of the Consumer Movement Credit and Savings Observatory.
